This guide is the best of what I've read on the topic, and I've read many books. I wish I would have found it sooner. I've learned so much about the day to day of being with children and professional life. I really enjoy that it has so many people's stories within it, from such diverse backgrounds. It covers a lot more than I expected, far more than many other books I've read. It helped me to benefit from the experience of the author and her many contributors, in small sections a busy mom can read in the 2 seconds she has. It helps little things to stay little things and pulls the important ones into focus. It's a working mom's Mother's Almanac. Thanks to the author for creating it!
 Good book to make you think...
Although this book seems to be providing you with information that is 'common sense' as one reviewer noted, it definitely makes you think about the type of working mother that you are and that you want to be. It puts all the option and situations that you already know exist down on paper to help you figure out what is the best option for you. I am not through with the book quite yet, but thus far it has been helpful in reducing my anxiety about going back to work with a 14 week old newborn in daycare.

Very Informative!
This book was purchased as a gift for my sister. She is a very busy mother of two and has told me that she was pleasantly surprised by how informative and helpful this book is. For someone who admittedly thought she had enough strategies and solutions of her own, she agrees that she learned more than a few new helpful tips from this book. She's already recommended it to friends.
 Seemed rather simplistic/obvious to me
I picked up a copy of this book because of all the great reviews. I have a 3 month old and started back to work a few weeks ago. Frankly, there wasn't much in here that I needed or didn't figure out on my own.
I am giving it two starts, instead of one, because everyone is different and what I thought to be obvious advice may be a revelation to someone else. The one thing I have learned about parenting is that you have to figure it out what is best for you all by yourself. And if you need a book to help you, then this would certainly be a perfectly good one to pick up.
